Hosting and Maintenance
Website Hosting and Maintenance
Every business website needs hosting, an SSL certificate, regular updates and backups, and somebody has to keep up with all of it. We take that off your hands, watch for downtime and make the small edits you send over.

What’s Covered
What Your Hosting Plan Covers
A list of hosting terms doesn’t mean much unless you work on websites for a living. Here’s what each part of the plan is and what it saves you from.
Theme, plugin and security updates
The theme is the design your site is built on, and plugins are the add-ons that run things like your contact form. Their makers release updates constantly, and many of them close security holes. We install them, so your site stays current instead of drifting behind until something breaks.
Hosting we run
Your site runs on Linux hosting that we manage, with cPanel behind it. Since we’re the host, there’s no separate hosting company to chase down when something goes wrong.
SSL certificate
It’s what puts the https at the start of your web address, and it encrypts what people type into your contact form. Without one, browsers label your site “Not secure,” and an expired one can throw a full-page warning at visitors. We keep it renewed.
Website monitoring
If your site goes down, we hear about it. You shouldn’t have to find out from a customer who couldn’t pull up your page.
Small changes, up to an hour a month
Tell us what’s out of date, and we fix it on the site for you. Up to an hour of small text and image changes a month is part of the plan.
Backups
We keep saved copies of your site. If an update goes wrong or a page gets deleted by mistake, there’s a working version we can put back.

Pricing
One Plan, One Price
There’s a single hosting plan, and it covers everything on this page for $125 a month. It starts with a six-month minimum, then carries on month to month.
Hosting keeps your site online, but it won’t move you up in Google on its own. That’s the job of our local SEO plans. And if you need a website to host in the first place, we’ll design one for you.
Small Changes
A Change Can Be as Small as a New Photo
Most of the edits a business needs on its website are small, like new hours for the season or a price that’s gone up, and that’s what your monthly hour is for. Things that count as a change:
- Swapping in a new photo
- Updating your hours, holiday hours included
- Changing a price or a special
- Adding a service to a list that’s already on the site
- Fixing a typo or a detail that’s wrong
- Putting in a new email address or contact detail
A brand-new page or a redesign is a bigger job than a change, so we’ll talk it through and price it with you first. To send a change, email [email protected], tell us which page it’s on and what it should say, and attach any new photos.
Questions
When Something Goes Wrong With Your Site
Have another question? Send it to [email protected].
What happens if my website goes down?
Getting it back up is on us. Our monitoring flags the outage, and whether the trouble is on the server or in the site itself, we’re the ones who fix it. You don’t have to call around or log in anywhere.
Can you promise my site will never get hacked?
No, and no hosting company honestly can. What we can do is keep your themes and plugins current, since out-of-date ones are among the most common ways in. If something does get through, the backups give us a clean copy to put back.
Do I have to host my website with you?
No. Your website is yours. If you’d rather host it yourself, we’ll point you toward where to get hosting, and keeping it updated is then in your hands.
