Web Design
Custom Website Design for Local Businesses
If your website was built for a computer and squeezed onto phones as an afterthought, your customers are pinching and zooming just to read it. We design from the phone screen up, with fast pages that spell out for Google what you do and make it easy for customers to reach you. Every site is custom, built around your business and nobody else’s.

How We Build It
Every Part of the Page Is There to Bring In Work
People who land on a local business’s homepage aren’t there to browse. They need something done, and they want three answers fast: what you do, whether you work near them and how to reach you. So we build the whole page around those answers, from the top down.
Your number at the top, ready to tap
Your phone number sits in the header of every page, and on a phone it dials the moment someone taps it. Nobody should have to copy it down or scroll to the footer to find it.
Your trade and towns on the first screen
The first thing on the page names your trade and the places you work, in words a customer would use. “Plumbing repair in Katy and Cypress” tells people they’re in the right place. “Quality solutions you can trust” tells them nothing.
Reviews and job photos up front
Your Google rating, a review or two and photos of jobs you’ve actually done go near the top, right where a stranger is deciding whether to trust you.
Each main service gets its own page
Someone searching “tankless water heater install” wants a page about exactly that, not a list of everything you do with that line buried in the middle. So each main service gets a page with its own heading and its own reason to call.
A short form for people who’d rather not call
Not everyone wants to pick up the phone, especially after hours. For them there’s a short form that asks only for what you need to get back to them.
Fast on a phone and easy for Google to read
Under the hood, the page is built to load quickly on a phone, and its titles, headings and structured data tell Google your business name, your services and the area you cover. Visitors never see that last part, but Google reads it.

Page Speed
We Build to Google’s Page Speed Targets
Google describes a good page experience with three measurements it calls Core Web Vitals: how fast the main content shows up, how quickly the page reacts and whether it stays still while it loads. Those are the numbers we build to.
Google takes them from real visits on people’s own phones and computers, and a page only counts as good when at least three out of four visits hit the mark. Phones are graded separately, so a page that flies on a new laptop but drags on an older phone still fails on phones.
We keep pages lean and compress every image before it goes up. We can’t promise every page will pass, since the numbers come from your visitors’ own devices and connections, but every page is built with Google’s good range as the target.
2.5s
Largest Contentful Paint
Good: 2.5 seconds or less
How long it takes the main thing on the screen, usually the headline or the big photo, to show up. Google calls anything over 4 seconds poor.
200ms
Interaction to Next Paint
Good: 200 milliseconds or less
How quickly the page responds when someone taps a button, opens the menu or starts typing in the form.
0.1
Cumulative Layout Shift
Good: 0.1 or less
Whether things jump around while the page loads, like a button sliding down just as someone goes to tap it.
The Process
What to Expect Before and After Launch
Here’s every step from the first call to the months after your site goes live, and where you come in along the way.
- 1
We start with the jobs you’re after
On the first call, we ask which jobs you want more of and which ones you’d rather not take. If you don’t want small repair calls, the site won’t advertise them.
- 2
We plan every page before we build one
Next we decide which pages the site needs and what each one is for. If you already have a website, we keep its page addresses wherever they still fit, so the pages Google already knows don’t disappear.
- 3
Your own photos lead the design
Wherever you have pictures of your own work, we build around them. Your truck in a customer’s driveway says more about you than any stock photo could.
- 4
You look it over first
Before anyone else sees it, you click through the whole site and tell us what’s off, what’s missing and what you’d say differently. Those changes get made before launch.
- 5
It goes live
Once you’re happy with it, we launch it. On our hosting, it goes up with an SSL certificate, monitoring and backups running from day one.
- 6
Then we keep it running
On the hosting plan, we keep the site’s software updated and make small text and image changes for you, so it doesn’t go stale. The hosting and maintenance page has the details.

How much does a website cost?
It depends on what your business needs, since every site we build is custom and there’s no set price by the page. We’ll give you a price after our first call, before any work starts. Want it sooner? The next day add-on is $750 on top.
What do you build websites on?
WordPress. It’s the most widely used website system there is, so it’s well tested and gets security fixes often. If you host with us, installing those fixes is part of what we handle.
What if my current website is already good?
Then we’ll keep using it instead of replacing it. Plenty of what we do, like local SEO, works on the site you already have.
Can I keep my domain name?
Yes. If you already own your domain, it stays yours, and we point it at your new site the day it goes live. Your customers keep typing the same address they always have.
What happens to old pages that don’t fit the new site?
That depends on whether anyone still finds them. If an old page still brings people in, its address and the useful parts carry over to the new site. If nobody visits it, we leave it out, because a page that’s only there to fill out the menu doesn’t help you or anyone reading it.
Will Google start showing my new site right away?
Not overnight. Google has to find and crawl the new pages before it can show them, and that runs on Google’s schedule, not ours. The site is built so Google can read it easily, but ranking near the top for busy local searches is a slower, separate job, and that’s where local SEO comes in.
